Physical Therapy is a form of evidence-based healthcare that focuses on the treatment and management of physical impairments, disabilities, and conditions that affect the body's movement and function. It is commonly used to treat injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions such as arthritis, stroke, and spinal cord injuries.
Physical therapists use a variety of techniques to help their patients recover and improve their physical function including exercises, stretches, manual therapy, and the use of assistive devices such as canes and crutches. They also work with their patients to develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to their specific needs and goals.
Physical Therapy is an evidence based profession backed by clinical research that is a conservative treatment option as stated by the American Medical Association(AMA) which means that it can help you recover without a need for medications, injections, or surgeries.
With specialties in orthopedics, post-surgical operation rehab, sports rehab, neuro-rehab, pediatrics, geriatrics, wound care, and oncology, Physical Therapists are uniquely positioned to help a multitude of patients through diagnosis, treatment, and education to help maintain a patients current level of function, prevent injuries, and help patients return to their prior level of function in the event injury occurs.
Yes! All of our sessions are dedicated one-to-one with an emphasis on providing you a personalized and individualized treatment approach to solve your movement problems and answer all your questions.
Your first appointment will consist of your physical therapist performing an thorough evaluation consisting of a complete medical history review, ruling out serious conditions, strength and range of motion measurements, motor control assessments, and an evaluation of your postures and movement patterns. Based on these findings, your physical therapist will utilize a combination of manual therapy, exercise, neuro-muscular reeducation, and movement analysis to help you achieve your goals. We will also help coordinate your care and refer out for imaging, medication, or possible surgical referrals as needed.
Integrated Movement and Health is an out of network provider for Physical Therapy services and does not have contracts with insurance companies. What this means is that we do not have pre-negotiated rates for reimbursement of services from insurance companies after a patient has received care from us. Being out of network with insurance companies allows Integrated Movement and Health to provide you with highly personalized one-on-one care when and where you need it most as pre-authorizations, capitation, or coverage limits are no issue so there are no barriers to receiving the care you deserve.
Being out of network with insurances does not mean that you can't use your insurance as most insurances have out of network benefits. This means that you can submit your bill from Integrated Movement and Health to your insurance company and most times be reimbursed for all or a portion of what was paid for services depending on your insurance plan.* For patients who have deductible plans, payment for services from Integrated Movement and Health may help count towards some of your deductible.*

Typically that can be 1-4 visits over a span of 4-6 weeks or more visits over a longer duration, it is patient dependent. At Integrated Movement and Health, while we will give you our recommendations based on your clinical presentation, we implement our care plan based on what our patients need with our focus being making a care plan in conjunction with our patients needs.

Billing can work one of two ways with Integrated Movement and Health's simple and transparent cost model:
1. If you elect to not submit to insurance you will pay once upfront for services by cash, credit card, HSA/FSA, or electronic payment processors such as Paypal/Venmo/Square and not worry about a bill or receiving a statement months later as everything is upfront! It's that simple!
2. If you elect to submit to insurance for reimbursement you still pay upfront for services by the above listed methods and will receive what is called a "SuperBill." A SuperBill is a bill unique to you that lists out your diagnosis, date treated, and billable codes called CPT codes to help the insurance companies understand what to reimburse you for after receiving physical therapy services by Integrated Movement and Health. What you do next is submit this SuperBill to your insurance to which it acts as a receipt to allow for the insurance company to reimburse you for all or some of services received by Integrated Movement and Health.
What you can guarantee from Integrated Movement and Health is that you will never receive a bill in the mail after services were provided!
*Integrated Movement and Health cannot guarantee reimbursement or reimbursement rates for insurance as it does not contract with them.
